I’ll forever love looks that combine the classics: stripes, good denim, red, white, and blue. I also love high waisted denim and a shorter, more boxy top. I find it to be a flattering, easy to wear silhouette. It also works well for me with Ivy, especially a higher rise with a looser leg. It means it’s easy to sit on the floor making the cut of denim a mom favorite for me. You’ve seen this exact pair (on sale!) on the blog here with a black tee and here with a red and white striped tee. I’ve also worn my culottes with a shorter top here and my cropped flares (also on sale!) with a flowy top here (both high wasited denim). In real life, I’ve mixed and matched all pairs of denim with all these tops.
To be honest, I just love high waisted denim. It sucks you in and make your legs look long! This is my favorite pair of high waisted skinny jeans. You’ve seen then on the blog here, here, and here often paired with a shorter top. Like I said, my favorite silhouette. What about you, are you a fan of high waisted denim?

I have to admit, that I grew up with the high waisted jeans and they were great. But now that I’ve been used to the lower cuts, it’s hard to go back!! I’m sure I’ll get some….

I find high-waisted jeans tricky. It took me a few goes to find my current high waisted pair, as I have a leftover mum-tum (diastasis recti) and some rises just hit it in a painful spot. Did find my current pair but haven’t gotten any more, I prefer regular rise 🙂
