When I got this pretty mint sweater from Seraphine, I knew a mint and white combination was in my future. I added hints of tan in my vest, favorite bag, and lace up heels. It’s the perfect way to style white jeans for fall.
I’m excited to be joining Laura of Walking in Memphis in Heels and Erin of The Fashion Canvas for their weekly Trend Spin Linkup. It’s usually on Tuesday, but since that isn’t a regular post day for me, I am sharing a little early. The theme is jeans, so be sure to linkup below!
We had a great, low-key weekend with a date on Friday night where I wore this outfit. Did you catch my Instagram story? I found out I do have gestational diabetes. After a bit of crying and Netflix binging (just being real here), I got myself together and met with the diabetes educator. She was seriously so wonderful! She was so reassuring andΒ gave me some great tips and information. We checked my sugars which were great. I think most of what I need to do is work on portion control and curbing my sweet tooth over the weekend. Anyone else always indulge more on the weekend? I have always been interested in nutrition and actually find all of this kind of fascinating. While pricking my finger and not stuffing my face with Halloween candy aren’t fun, the most important thing is keeping the baby healthy. Thank you all for your kind comments and encouragement along the way. You’re the best, and I am thankful to share this crazy and wonderful journey that is pregnancy with you.

That sleeveless trench is a beautiful layering piece! You and your bump are looking great! I was eyeing off that bag in the shopbop sale – you’re making me wish I’d got it!
Sorry to hear about the gestational diabetes result – but at least you got connected with an expert quickly to help you figure out a nutrition plan for the rest of your pregnancy! My friend had it and it was a little hard on her as she couldn’t do all the extra indulging and ‘eating for two’ you get to enjoy in pregnancy, but you only need to stick with it a few months π

Weekends are always harder for self control with eating. So sorry about having gestational diabetes, but sounds like you are in good hands. I love the mint sweater with the buttons on the side! Such cute details!

I’m definitely guilty of indulging more on the weekends too. I’m sorry to hear about the diagnosis, but it sounds like you found a great resource in the diabetes educator. I’m sending thoughts and prayers your way for a smooth pregnancy from here on out. Love this look too–the mint is so pretty with the other soft neutrals!

That sweater is beautiful! I love the soft mint color! And those lace up heels are fab!
Love that sweater and your white distressed denim. I’m sorry to hear about the gestational diabetes! But, it’s so great that you’re taking care of your little peanut already with the sacrifices you’re making (like Halloween candy.. that’s a pretty big sacrifice!) I’m a total believer that the moment you conceive you become a parent. There are all sorts of things your baby needs you to do and consider while still growing inside you. Glad you have the proper support!
Sorry to hear about the gestational diabetes! It’s only temporary, so just try to remember that and focus on how all of this will be so worth it when the baby is here (of course, you already know that!). I this neutral look, with just a touch of mint that isn’t too bright. And, you always stile vests so well!
