I’m continuing my no buy January (read more here) with probably my all time favorite closet staple – a flannel shirt! I have this shirt in both this white color and the red and literally wear them non-stop in the fall and winter. Today I thought I would share some an idea for how to style a flannel casually. I love wearing it as an outer layer with leggings. The trending “shacket” is really fun, but I haven’t wanted to buy one myself. To me styling a flannel this way looks really similar without spending any money.
Flannel Shirt Details
I am actually wearing a small tall here. I have both the regular length and the tall length in this shirt because I wear it that much (last seen here dressed up for family Christmas photos). What can I say…. I love the tall length to wear with leggings like this. I tied my plain white t-shirt underneath and paired it with my all time favorite regular leggings that I gushed about here and Golden Goose sneakers. I reviewed my sneakers here after buying them, and I maintain they are worth it because I literally wear them all the time.
I have styled it previously like this with my red flannel, leather leggings, and boots once here and once here with my leather jacket. I like this version for an even more casual take.
Flannel Styled EIGHT TIMES Previously Here
I could hardly believe it when I was rounding up how many times I have shared this flannel in both the red and white versions that I has made the blog eight times over the years. That means I have truly worn it SOOOOO many times in real life. I’d love to hear in the comments which look is your favorite.
