I’m really excited about something new I plan on doing this month – a no buy January! I had been considering this for some time, and when I took a poll asking your opinion on Instagram it was very clear this resonated with you all too. I will spend the whole month without buying a single clothing item. Nothing new will be on the blog except for a upcoming preexisting partnership I am very excited about.

So Why a No Buy January?
- During COVID I have not been getting our of the house nearly as much as LBC (life before COVID). I basically take Ivy Jean to and from school plus the occasional doctors appointment. When the weather was nice we were going to church outside which I hope to pick back up anytime it is possible. We sometimes pick up dinner and eat outside or see our family, but otherwise we are pretty much at home. I just cannot justify spending money on clothing as much. You may or may not have noticed, but I have already been recycling pieces a lot here on the blog and spending less (hello capsule wardrobe!).
- After Christmas many of us, ourselves included, have spent a lot of money on gifts and are trying to restrict spending.
- Being a stay at home mom with a five month old, I don’t wear a ton of fancy things at this stage of life anyway.

What Can You Expect From Me?
So what will things look like on the blog? Well I hope not too different. I hope to recycle my clothing and keep things fresh for you. I will continue to share new and fun outfits with existing pieces in my wardrobe while also giving you a look at how I have shared those same pieces in the past. I hope this will give you ideas on how to restyle your own closet and get creative! I’m going to try to style things that are still in stock and available when possible. When I cannot, I will link similar items.

Cardigan Take Two
I first shared this cardigan here styled with a white t-shirt and regular jeans back in October at the pumpkin patch here (seen below). I really love it! I’ve worn it a lot both over leggings, with jeans, and on Instagram over a fitted dress with boots during a story try on. The colors actually make it really versatile, and it’s super affordable! I loved pairing it with black jeans and a striped top for a little pattern. The cognac boots and bag pick up that color in the cardigan so well. I am linking my exact cardigan, jeans, and boots. My exact t-shirt is older, but I found some very similar options here and here.
