Styling A Backless Dress

March 22, 2017

I have always shied away from buying backless dresses because I felt like I was too old to wear them. And let’s face it, I am. Buuuttt I always see them and think they are so cute. This white lace one in particular was hard to pass up. Then it hit me: I could wear a layer underneath! Why I had never thought of styling a backless dress like this before I’ll never know. I haven’t had the opportunity to actually wear this outfit yet, but you better believe the next date night Russ and I have this baby is coming out!

Love this! I see so many cute backless dresses but I never know how I would realistically wear them. I never thought about layering like this. Such a great idea!

Cute! I wouldn’t have thought to layer underneath, but this looks great! By the way, I don’t think you’re too old for a backless dress! 😉

Great way to layer! I feel the same way about backless dresses but this is the perfect way to wear one, especially for this time of year. You look fantastic!

I love this!! I always layer a button up or turtleneck under a jumpsuit for a little spring transition, but I didn’t think about it for a dress. This is super cute!!

Very cute styling! You remind me of the Lolita fashion in Japan back in early 2000’s when it was still a thing and was a little tamed 🙂

What a great idea to layer your dress with a long sleeve top underneath. Not only does this change the entire look, it also makes it wearable during the transition period!
