Styling A Backless Dress

March 22, 2017

I have always shied away from buying backless dresses because I felt like I was too old to wear them. And let’s face it, I am. Buuuttt I always see them and think they are so cute. This white lace one in particular was hard to pass up. Then it hit me: I could wear a layer underneath! Why I had never thought of styling a backless dress like this before I’ll never know. I haven’t had the opportunity to actually wear this outfit yet, but you better believe the next date night Russ and I have this baby is coming out!

I always love seeing how creative people can be with styling dresses. This is such a smart idea! Backless dresses can be so hard because they can come off as too sexy, but this definitely makes appropriate for any age!

This is such a cute dress, and I love how you layered it! I used to love backless dresses, but now I’m just too old to go braless (sad face). I’ll have to try this idea!

I really like the layer idea, I would also be scared to wear a dress like that because I definitely need to wear a bra haha, but wearing a layer underneath would definitely work!

Great idea! And I love that it helps keep you warmer and shows off the pretty lace straps, too! I am often freezing so I like to look for dresses that cover up a bit more. This is a great solution!

I think this is a fabulous answer to this conundrum, Amy!! I saw Nicole of High Latitude Style do it with a lace shirt under her dress, and I squirreled it away in my brain for an option!!
    You look fabulous!
