Cream Cardigan and Cream Blouse

February 22, 2017

Is anyone else super picky about your cardigans? I swear, they are either too chunky and not flattering, have weird collars, or are too short. I’m always on the hunt for the right one. I stumbled on this one in Gap when I was shopping with my mom. If you are keeping a tally, that means I bought the boyfriend jeans seen here, the knotted sweatshirt seen here, this cardigan, and a dress yet to come. I know, I scored! I hadn’t done much shopping in a while, so it was nice to find a few things. Anyway, back to today’s post, I loved the cream cardigan and cream blouse (similar) together with my favorite distressed jeans. Monochrome layers are always a good idea if you aren’t sure what to wear.

I shared a pic of this ootd on my Instagram stories when I wore it. I have been trying to do that  more, especially when I know it’s an outfit that may not make the blog. Let me know if you all are liking that. Today is my first day back at work after maternity leave. My mom is keeping Ivy until she is a little older and can go to daycare after flu/rsv season, so I know she is in good hands. It has made going back to work so much easier. Russ and I are so thankful for her!

I agree, cardigans can be tricky to find. This one is so perfect though! Love those jeans, too.

You look so effortlessly chic! I can be picky about cardigans too, although I don’t know how to articulate it other than “classic” ha. Best of luck with your first day back–that’s awesome your mom can take care of her! XO

This looks like the perfect weight for a cardigan – you’ve scored big time at gap lately!

This cardigan is perfection! I hear ya on the chunky and unflattering ones, they’re also super heavy and uncomfortable. Love the crisp color of this one too <3

I agree that a cardigan is a lovely option but it’s so hard to find the perfect fit, your look is so clean and adorable, in love with the boots and the bag of course ♥

Love the cream on cream look. I’m also picky with my cardigans because they don’t always lay on me well. The one you are wearing looks good on you!

Love this look- cream on cream is so classic! That cardigan looks very soft, and fits you perfectly. Sometimes I do end up buying a cardigan that I think I’ll love and it ends up being a little off- so I agree with you there.
