Test Driving a Jetta

May 11, 2016

I’m excited to be sharing something a little different today. I’ve spent the last couple of days test driving a Jetta thanks to Don Thornton Volkswagen here in Tulsa, and I’ll be teaming up with them in the future too to share some of their other options. If you’re in the Tulsa area, you can get a $25 Visa gift card just for coming by for a test drive! All you have to do is sign up here.

I’ve driven an SUV since I turned 16, and Russ has a truck. Being behind the wheel of a car was a new experience for me. Russ and I spent Saturday afternoon checking out a new brewpub in downtown Tulsa before running some errands and snapping pics. I’m terrible at parallel parking. As in, I just avoid it and park farther away if necessary.Β It was nice to have a smaller car with a backup camera. The Jetta also has Apple CarPlay which was really cool. I just plugged in my phone and had access to my apps and Siri. The best part was the ability to use Google Maps. I won’t lie, it was sure fun to have that new car smell for a couple days! Oh, and get 40 miles/gallon on the highway.

My outfit details are below. I’m loving this blush top with my grey jeans and heels. My sunglasses and bag are both new and both amazing dupes. These sunnies are $50 compared to the real $400 Celine pair, and my bag is a $27 Chloe dupe.

Thanks to Don Thornton VW for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Just gorgeous gal! And I could use a 40 mph/gallon car. I adore my SUV, but I also drive 90 miles a day so… not my smartest choice. Loving the jetta!

Love all the new technology these cars have nowadays and those fringe sandals are so fab!

You look so good next to that car, girl! I love the shade of red, it’s perfect. Some car brands either have too bright or too dark of a red, but this one is just perfect! It sounds like it has a lot of cool features, too. It’s amazing how advanced cars and technology are these days. My mom, who swore up and down that she was not going to get a new car with all the ad ons now has one and it does everything but fly, haha, so crazy! When I was learning to drive, I dreaded the thought of parallel parking, but it’s a must here in New York or else you just can’t park your car, so you become an expert pretty fast! As for your outfit, I love the blouse and it looks perfect paired with those jeans (I love the rinse). Thanks so much for sharing your experience and I hope you’re having a great day so far, beauty!

Lucky you! I’ll be in the market for a new car shortly, and I’m on the fence about what direction to go. Love your blush top…especially paired with those grey jeans.

I’ve been driving an SUV since I was 16 too and it’s always so different to drive a car. My aunt has the Jetta and loves it. I was driving it the other summer and was absolutely FLYING down the highway. I had no idea how fast I was going — that Jetta can really move it haha! Love those fringe heels too, Amy Ann!
