Does anyone else kind of dread shopping for shorts?? I mean bathing suits are the worst, but shorts are up there. It’s why I have loved my dressy skorts so much! However, I have found a couple of affordable modest jean shorts for moms I really love, so I have to share!! All are 4 inch inseam and range in price from $18-$68.
Walmart $18 Jean Shorts in Blue and White
If you have been following for a while, then you know I have shared these jeans a lot lately! They are part of my capsule wardrobe. I just think they are so cute and such a great price. You can snag the white here and the blue here. However, there is also a darker wash as well as several other colors. These are 98% cotton, so there is a tiny amount of stretch but not a ton. I would they are true to size to a little small. If between sizes consider going up one.
Abercrombie 4 Inch High Rise Mom Shorts – $59
I bought these last year in the white, and they aren’t available this year in that wash. Boo! However, I have loved them! I would say they run true to size. If you are between sizes or prefer your jean shorts looser, consider going up. They do also have a curve love that might fit better if you would consider yourself curvy. I do not think they stretch out.
Free People Makai Jean Shorts – $68
Last in my list of the best affordable modest jean shorts for moms are the Free People Makai shorts. They have also been a favorite since last year! I think they look so similar to the Agolde shorts but at a fraction of the cost. They are 100% cotton supposedly, but to me they are so much softer than my Agolde pair. True to size and available in a lot of washes!
