How fun is this floral and flares combo?! I have one pair of flare jeans that I really love. Since I do wear them a lot, I knew it would be nice to have a lighter colored option. They seem a little more casual and also perfect for spring. This pair from Fidelity hits all the marks. It was a new brand for me, but the quality and fit are really great. I paired my denim with a tie front floral blouse, a suede vest, and my lace up peep toe bootie (a favorite from last year that is still available). Together it makes for the perfect 70s vibe, which you know I have been all about lately! I just got this suede vest, and I think it will be the perfect layering piece for spring. Suede seems to be a big trend! I wore this outfit to for my nephew’s birthday party this weekend. So fun! I also wore this vest to church on Sunday. On Monday, I swapped my jeans for my striped Ann Taylor slacks (seen here and now on sale!) and wore them to work. #RealLife
In the nature of transparency and in an effort to also share pieces of myself rather than just my clothes (which I love doing!), it’s been a week y’all. As many of you may know, Russ and I started our first round of IVF last week. We are so excited, prayerful, and hopeful for this journey. It’s not one we have entered into lightly. In reality, what it looks like on a daily basis right now is a lot of shots and fluctuating hormones. Woof. I also have several friends going through really heavy stuff, and my heart is burdened for them. One of my best friends lost her sister last week unexpectedly, and today I stand beside her at the funeral. Adulting is no joke you all. The realities of life are difficult. I am comforted by the reminder in this Lenten season that we do not have a God who is unacquainted with or distant from our suffering. He enters it with us. Easter is coming.

What you said about this season of Lent is beautiful, and so true. Thank you for sharing your life with us along with your gorgeous style. I’m so sorry about your friend, I will send prayers her way.
On a lighter note, that vest is pretty fantastic. I’m not usually drawn to 70s styles but I LOVE that.
“I am comforted by the reminder in this Lenten season that we do not have a God who is unacquainted with or distant from our suffering. He enters it with us.” Ahhhhh that line. Love that line. I hate hearing that your heart is heavy sweet girl, but what a time of year to find joy through the burdens. I’ll be praying for you and those around you!! (And, on another note, your blouse is gorgeous:))
