Uptown Cheapskate in Tulsa

January 6, 2016

I’m thrilled to have an Uptown Cheapskate in Tulsa! Open as of December, this resale concept store is modern and stylish. As a fashion lover on a budget, I often takeΒ the clothes I no longer wear into a resale shop as well as shop around for new things. It accomplishes several things: my closet never gets too full, I can make a little money, and I can shop for great deals. Recycling clothesΒ is a great way to practice conscious consumerism.

Uptown Cheapskate is a national concept with branches all over. You bring your clothes in and get money on the spot. If you decide to put the money on your account to shop with rather than get a check, you get a higher percentage per item. They take clothes, shoes, workout gear, and accessories for both men and women (no kids). Today I am sharing my first look with you from Uptown Cheapskate in Tulsa.Β I was able to snag five items to create two whole outfits for only $75 with great brands like Gap, Asos, and The Limited. How amazing is that?! I’ll be sharing the second look tomorrow for a special Thursday post. Today you can enter to win one of two $25 gift cards to Uptown Cheapskate in Tulsa. Just think how much you can get with that money!

This look is so great! I’ve been to Uptown Cheapskate before to drop off my stuff and it really is such a great concept! I have some things I want to take to Clothes Mentor which is a similar concept that we have in Wilmington.

Such a great look and the shop sounds amazing! I usually bring my stuff to Platos Closet, which sounds similar, but I never find too much there.

This sounds like a great shop, I need to be better about shopping resale shops. That cardigan is so pretty and looks super cozy with the plaid top.

I need to get better with re-selling my items. I thought about trying to sell them on Instagram – but so far I just opt for Goodwill, instead. Your look is my style – plaid is one of my favorites with a cozy sweater.
