I’m thrilled to have an Uptown Cheapskate in Tulsa! Open as of December, this resale concept store is modern and stylish. As a fashion lover on a budget, I often take the clothes I no longer wear into a resale shop as well as shop around for new things. It accomplishes several things: my closet never gets too full, I can make a little money, and I can shop for great deals. Recycling clothes is a great way to practice conscious consumerism.
Uptown Cheapskate is a national concept with branches all over. You bring your clothes in and get money on the spot. If you decide to put the money on your account to shop with rather than get a check, you get a higher percentage per item. They take clothes, shoes, workout gear, and accessories for both men and women (no kids). Today I am sharing my first look with you from Uptown Cheapskate in Tulsa. I was able to snag five items to create two whole outfits for only $75 with great brands like Gap, Asos, and The Limited. How amazing is that?! I’ll be sharing the second look tomorrow for a special Thursday post. Today you can enter to win one of two $25 gift cards to Uptown Cheapskate in Tulsa. Just think how much you can get with that money!

What a cute outfit! I have never heard of Uptown Cheapskate but definitely need to check to see if we have one in our area! I’ve been looking for a good consignment shop to take some clothes after a major closet clean out. Thanks for sharing, Amy Ann!

Love the idea of recycling clothes! I have bags and bags full of clothes I don’t wear anymore, but in the Netherlands there isn’t anywhere you can drop them off like this. Love the outfit you created!!

I love resale shops, there are quite a few in LA near me and I too take my clothes that I no longer wear to them in exchange for more clothes. Great look you’ve created and can’t wait to see look #2.
