My Free People Ottoman sweater has been a long time favorite of mine. I have had it for years now in the bright pink you see below. I am wearing a size small, and I am 5’10. Free People Ottoman Tunic Sweater Details

As I mentioned, my Free People Ottoman tunic sweater has lasted years. It has washed well. I always wash on cold and hang to dry. I love the length and color options. I would not describe it as an ultra soft, snuggly type sweater but rather one with some structure to it. The collar stands up well. It has ribbing on it all throughout. I am wearing it here with my Spanx faux leather leggings which I have in a medium. I size up because I find the small uncomfortable.

Now, let’s move on to my Amazon Free People Ottoman tunic sweater dupe. You can find it here. Price is usually $40, and it comes in 30 colors/patterns. These photos have no filter of any kind as my usual brightening made the red appear hard to see. So how is it the same and how is it different?

I’m wearing a small here. I find it to be about the same fit and length which is nice. The mock neck and ribbing are the same too. I was a little nervous to order it based on some of the reviews about the seems coming out in the arms. I’ve had no trouble and have washed it once. It has almost 7,000 4 star reviews. The main difference is that it is softer and less structured which I do not mind at all. It is actually a little more comfortable, but the neck has a little less stiffness.

Amazon Faux Leather Leggings – Spanx Alternative

If you are in the market for a Spanx alternative or just want to try a faux leather legging without spending $100, I have a GREAT option for you! This pair of faux leather leggings from Amazon is sooo good! They look just like Spanx, but they are so much more affordable at just $28! They are available both with and phone pocket and without a phone pocket option and come in both the 25 and 28 in inseam option too. The only difference I would note is they do not have as much compression in the tummy area as Spanx. Personally I like that as I want my leggings to be comfortable and flattering. I am wearing my usual small in these as opposed to the medium noted above in the Spanx. I would just say they are a typical legging.
