I am thrilled to share some really fun news as well as our beach maternity photos – baby number two is a girl!!!! We are overjoyed and continue to thank God for what is our true second miracle baby (read the baby announcement and our infertility/adoption journey here). We told Ivy Jean first by letting her cut open a cupcake with pink icing inside. She literally jumped up and down she was so excited to find out she will have a sister. Then she got to call and tell all of our family. It was such a sweet time of sharing our happy news. We thank God!
Family Beach Maternity Photos
While planning our trip to San Diego, our wedding photographer, Kalee Ridings, reached out. She had moved to San Diego and offered a beach family photo shoot. We couldn’t even believe it! Being a photo lover, I was THRILLED to capture this sweet and special time in our lives with unforgettable photos. I’ve always dreamed of beach family photos. I am so grateful for how she captured our precious Ivy Jean’s personality. She has so much fun in the waves and was wet to her waist by the time we finished. 🙂
Baby Girl
We are truly so excited to have another baby girl in our family. Russ’s title as girl dad is solidified, and he is so good at it. I cannot wait to see Ivy Jean in her new role. She already is the best big sister. She takes care of her babies, says she is ready to snuggle her sister and share her toys, and regularly hugs and kisses my belly. We have been spending our quarantine time washing old clothes of her and getting ready for baby. I am officially 20 weeks now – halfway!
Dress Details
We actually didn’t plan to much ahead for these photos and our outfits. I was pretty thrilled I had this gorgeous Eliza J Dress. I love how it ended up with pink and blue as we didn’t know the gender when we took them.
This gorgeous watercolor floral maxi dress is from Eliza J and is non-maternity. It has an elastic waist and a beautiful tie back halter neck. It would be a great Easter or wedding guest dress this summer if things return to normal.
