I just love the plaid hem! It’s long enough to wear with leggings (remember I am tall), pairs well with black denim too, and also looks cute with taupe booties and regular jeans. The top is a sweatshirt type material, but a lightweight one. I bought my normal size though the smaller one did fit. I opted for my normal size for length purposes.
