Aside from things I have been gifted and a Christmas gift card I used (hello, sock booties), I haven’t bought anything the last month or so. Instead I’ve been cleaning out my closet and focusing on wearing my favorite basics or staple pieces. Some of the sweaters I’ve worn (like my black turtleneck seen here) are ones I have had for years. That’s the great thing about staple pieces. Same goes for today’s neutral look. This gray sweater is a couple years old. My tan coat is at least 3 or 4 years old. These jeans are a newer purchase but only because I wore a hole in my old pair. All that to say, I hope you don’t mind! The nice part about it is that I can always find really similar pieces for you.
I’m loving this camel coat or this one. Seriously such a great piece to invest in for years to come! This is a great gray sweater. Neutrals are always a good idea in my book!

I love neutral looks, they’re so great for the winter! You look so cozy!
I’m right there with you, girl. After having Aviah, it’s so weird, my style and interests have changed so much that I find myself parting with pieces I didn’t think I would. Now, I’m all about the basics, neutrals, with some pops of fun pieces here and there. Did you go through the same thing after having Ivy-Jean? Anyway, I love this look, that coat is so chic! Thanks for sharing, beauty, and I hope you’re having a great week so far!

Perfect back to basics winter outfit! Good for you for cleaning out your closet and focusing on staple pieces. I’m definitely planning to do that too, once the twins arrive and I’m back to my normal size and shape

I think it’s great that so many of us are trying to shop our closets rather than buy new things! January is slow in the fashion world so it’;s a good time to mix, match, organize, and clean! That coat is timeless 🙂
I’ve been wanting to get a camel coat, definitely a wardrobe basic I need. I have been really loving neutral outfits lately, this one looks great!
