Cold Shoulder Ruffle Sleeve Maxi Dress + Linkup

June 14, 2017

I feel like I should have titled this post, “embracing the wind” because in Oklahoma that’s just what you have to do sometimes. Seriously though, the wind was insane the day we shot these photos!

Instead I went with Cold Shoulder Ruffle Sleeve Maxi Dress to more aptly describe this amazing dress. I love the pattern, ruffle detail, and versatility of a piece like this. It would be so perfect for summer weddings, showers, date nights, etc. It would work equally well dressed down with flat sandals for more casual events. I paired it with a belt, fringe clutch, and my favorite classic heels for a dressier look. The nice thing about this dress is that you can also wear the sleeves down and make it sleeveless if you want.

I was excited to join Banana Republic for their sophisticated summer campaign, and I feel like this dress makes it so easy. One piece that embodies sophistication!

I love the pattern on this dress and the fun ruffle sleeves! The wind always makes it challenging for pics but these turned out great! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

I think the wind is annoying when shooting photos (always makes my hair look so crazy!) but it works here and shows the movement of the dress, which is so pretty! I love the deep blue color on you and I think it’s brilliant to add a belt.

That dress is absolutely beautiful! I love the color on you! I know what you mean by embracing the wind. Living off the lake it seems like it is always windy!

We have wind quite a bit too–and that’s my feeling that the maxi can be beneficial. Because then at least you don’t get exposed when the wind takes over like with a normal length dress!!
This color looks fabulous on you Amy!

How is it that your hair stayed so bouncy and curly even with that much wind? Either way, the wind definitely was in your favor since I love seeing the movement of your cute dress!
