I feel like I should have titled this post, “embracing the wind” because in Oklahoma that’s just what you have to do sometimes. Seriously though, the wind was insane the day we shot these photos!
Instead I went with Cold Shoulder Ruffle Sleeve Maxi Dress to more aptly describe this amazing dress. I love the pattern, ruffle detail, and versatility of a piece like this. It would be so perfect for summer weddings, showers, date nights, etc. It would work equally well dressed down with flat sandals for more casual events. I paired it with a belt, fringe clutch, and my favorite classic heels for a dressier look. The nice thing about this dress is that you can also wear the sleeves down and make it sleeveless if you want.
I was excited to join Banana Republic for their sophisticated summer campaign, and I feel like this dress makes it so easy. One piece that embodies sophistication!

It was insanely windy last weekend when I was outside for my outfit pictures, too! This ruffled sleeve dress is so pretty! I also love that blue color!

BR always has the best dresses and this is gorgeous and you dressed it up so well. I made sure to include a cold-shoulder maxi dress in my Summer capsule but I also own a similar one to this in a navy pattern I am dying to wear fancied up, now. Thanks for the linkup.
You are still stunning despite all the wind. My photos today show all the wind we have been having lately, too lol.

Girl, if it were me trying to take photos in the wind, all my shots would be blurry and my hair would look a hot mess, haha; I wish I could work the wind as much as you do! This dress is so pretty (I LOVE blue on you). I agree, this would make for a great option for all the events you’ve mentioned and I love the alternative way you’ve suggested wearing it with the shoulders down, that would look so cute, playing more on the ruffle details. Thanks for sharing and I hope you’re having a great week so far!
