Street Style Fashion

February 1, 2016

I’ve always been fascinated by street style fashion while simultaneously finding it difficult to put my finger on what exactly it is that gives an outfit that elusive street style feel. I often think it’s unexpected pieces paired together: dressy pumps and distressed denim, a fancy bag with an everyday look, sneakers where heels might make more sense. Oh, and the street. That’s a given. Whatever the combination, the outcome is always modern and fresh. Today I attempted a street style look with neutrals, cool flatform sneakers, and a fancy bag. These pieces from Charles & Keith really inspired this fun look. See my previous post for more info about the company.

There’s a definite je ne sais quois about a street style look- I often struggle trying to put something street style-worthy together. I think you nailed this! The sweater + It Girl sneakers are very cool, doll. πŸ™‚

I often wonder the same thing about what could make my look more street style. I think sometimes it is not even just about the outfit, but also the positioning, the photography, the angles, etc.
I could totally see this as a street style outfit on Pinterest! I love the sneakers and your camel coat is so lovely! Hope you are having a great week!

I’ve always loved street style fashion too, but like you have never been able to pinpoint what makes street style — well, street style. I think you did a fantastic job, though. The trainers and coat are such an interesting combination!

Street style to me is taking elements from a high fashion catwalk and making it appropriate for day-to-day activities (exploring an new city, shopping, etc). Well done! πŸ™‚

Street style to me means contrasting elements in the same outfit too, and yours is a great example of that. I love the mix of sporty with the classic camel coat. Beautifully done Amy Ann! XOXO, Elif

There is just something about a clean pair of white sneakers. That camel coat casually worn over your shoulders def. speaks street-wear to me (and, yes… the street, too!).

Ha, that’s a good point! Trying to pin down “what is street fashion” is kind of tricky. Whatever the definition, you pulled it off and look fabulous! XO
