In my head, my style is definitely more minimalist and modern than girly. I know I wear a lot of skirts and dresses, but I don’t believe that equates to girly. I tend toward more muted colors, simple silhouettes, and non-frilly patterns. I mentioned that my Charles & Keith pieces inspired several similar pairings (see the first here and the second here), so today I thought I would talk about how to style a minimalist outfit. These grey pony hair tassel loafers are what my look is built around. I think the key to a minimalist outfit is keeping a similar color palette of non-brights without any one piece being too fussy. To my loafers, I added this grey fringe top, my black culottes (similar), and finished with the perfect black bucket bag also from Charles & Keith. The great thing about minimalist dressing is that all the pieces can usually be worn in multiple combinations. You can see my culottes worn previously here and here. Although my top is new, I have already worn it to work with a white oxford top underneath with grey trousers.
