Monochrome Grey

October 23, 2015

TGIF everyone! Even though Denver was fun, I did work off and on all weekend. I am ready for a true weekend. I wanted to share a great outfit for work. This faux suede skirtΒ from Choies (only $23!) is really nice. I was a little nervous about ordering a suede pencil skirt online that wasn’t easily returnable, but it turned out perfectly. I paired it with similar grey hues and cognac accessories to achieve a monochrome grey look. This sweater has such a fun hem (Warning: it is a little itchy, so an undershirt is required.), and I liked how the trench coat (under $30!) added another fun grey tone. Trench coats are very poplar this season and make for such a great layer. I’ve been eyeing these fringe booties for what feels like ages, and I finally took the plunge. I love how they look with a skirt, but I cannot wait to pair them with jeans! I’m also wearing my necklace from Lydell NYC that I forgot on my last post. Whoops… Never fear, you can get 25% off your order with the code straighta25. They have some great things!

I’m loving this all grey look – the skirt is amazing – I would be hesitant to order something like that online as well but it looks great! Also digging those booties – they’re on my wistlist and I love seeing them on!

I adore that sweater, Amy! One of my favorite neutrals to work with when I want to create a monochrome look is definitely grey and I love how you did it here. There’s a mixture of textures and lengths, as well as the touch of fringe in the booties, adding an overall interest to the look. Great styling and I hope you have a great day and weekend, beauty!

Great monochromatic look. Well, I guess its bi-chromatic, since you have the camel accessories, πŸ˜‰ but I love the whole look.

no lie-I was looking at those boots this morning. I think I’ll get the taller pair but this is a great inspiration for how to wear them to work!
