Favorite Floral Dresses

April 13, 2016

By now you probably know I am a sucker for a good dress. Lately I have been really into retro inspired floral prints (okay retro inspired anything…). Today I am sharing two floral dresses: one mini and one midi. More recently it has been my WAYF tie back floral mini dress (seen here), my floral midi dress (seen here), my dark floral short dress from Monday’s post, and my floral maxi (seen here). Hopefully you aren’t bored of all my floral!

Unrelated, I tried a dipped manicure for the first time a couple weeks ago, as seen in the photos with my mini dress. Has anyone tried it? I got a gift card for my birthday from my family which was such a nice treat! It was so interesting to see how the process works. They literally dip your nail in the same powder used for acrylic nails and basically build a nail over yours rather than painting. I love the bold color and the durability, but they do feel a little thick to me. I think next time (if there is one), I’ll ask for them to shape them down a little more. They are like gel nails: last for 2-3 weeks and have to be removed with acetone.

  • This is such a beautiful dress! And, I am the worst with any type of gel nail and end up somehow destroying them by the end. Ha!

I will never get tired of you in floral dresses because you own gorgeous ones. These two from Choies are fantastic and I love that they both have a navy background (right)? I cannot stop buying navy lately. I am especially smitten with navy floral. I just bought a navy floral dress from Nordstrom too and one from Old Navy. That dipped manicure – I had never heard of before but good to know. I may treat myself to one for my birthday.

How does Choies run sizing wise and would you recommend their clothes? I mean are they a decent enough quality? And how long does shipping take? They ship from China right? Sorry, a million questions I know.

    • I always keep my measurements saved on my phone and check the sizing on each product. I’ve never had an issue. The shipping does take 2-3 weeks. I’d compare the quality to Forever21. 🙂

  • Rocking it in florals Amy Ann! Both dresses are so pretty and I love that this season the florals prints are on a darker background. It’s a fun twist 🙂
No one here is doing dipped manicures just yet but it’s something I think would be a lot of fun to try.

  • Love this floral dress on you! Haven’t tried dipped manicures yet but will definitely give it a try as I got gels the other day and although good, wasn’t my favorite. Thanks for the suggestion!
