I have had this fun checked poncho for a while now, and I always love it for an easy outfit. I first shared it here last year with my Spanx leggings and my hiking boots for a cute and casual look. Let’s mix it up a little! Styling a poncho from casual to dressy is easy. They are actually pretty versatile. Read on!
Casually – Seen Last Year Here

Dressier
I dressed it up a bit by just swapping my leggings for black jeans and my flat hiking boots for a heeled ankle bootie. This is another outfit I would wear anytime! If you don’t like heels, you can easily wear flat ankle boots and keep the same dressier look. This would be perfect for a casual office or work setting, a get together with friends, or anything of the like.

Dressy
While I have not actually worn this (hello COVID), I wanted to show you a third option. An even dressier way to style a poncho is to layer it over a fitted dress and pair it with either tights and ankle booties or tall boots. I love how it makes a great layer over a dress and switches things up from a typical cardigan or jacket.

It’s amazing how one poncho can work for both casual and dressy looks so effortlessly. The layered dress outfit is especially cute and perfect for fall or winter fashion inspiration.

We like how you combo’d the poncho with the Gucci purse. Makes it look elegant and chic.
I love it over the dress like that Amy Ann!! It goes to show how well it can work in so many ways.
