Today I am excited to share an Amazon Free People Dahlia embroidered maxi dress look for less option. I actually ordered the real Free People dress as a possible dress option for our fall family photos. I just loved the style of it! Then around the same time I saw these Amazon look for less options and ordered them both to compare to mine. Catch my reel to see video side by side of both of these. Let’s get to it!
Free People Dahlia Embroidered Maxi Dress – $168
Here’s the original Free People dress which retails for $168. It is truly so pretty and really well stitched. The embroidery is so beautiful! One thing I do want to point out is that the stitching across the top smocked area isn’t even. It has a zig zag pattern. This is important because the Amazon version replicates this, so if you just order the Amazon version do not be surprised. This dress is not lined. I am surprised that a dress at this price isn’t lined. In this lighter color it is slightly see through too. This is ultimately why I returned it. I am sure in the darker colors this isn’t an issue. In the photo below, you can kind of see the outline of my pocket.
Amazon Free People Dahlia Embroidered Maxi Dress
Here is the Amazon Free people Dahlia embroidered maxi dress look for less! It retails for around $50. Honestly they look SO similar! The stitching is definitely not as well done. This is primarily on the top smocked area. It just isn’t as firmly down if that makes sense. But they both have the same look and the same flowers. The same cute and shape. One thing to note on this is that it is not prime shipping, and it did take some time to arrive to me. As I said above, I decided to return the real deal and keep this one! What would you do?
