Shackets are all the rage lately, and you are seeing them in all different styles, lengths, and patterns. Today I am showing you how to wear a shacket with several different styling options. These have really become go-to pieces for me in my everyday wardrobe. They are really versatile and fun to wear!
How to Wear a Shacket
1. Pair a Shacket with Leggings
Pairing a shacket with leggings is my go-to look. I am actually wearing it today as I type this. It’s a no-fail look that keeps you stylish and put together yet comfy. I wear it for school drop off and pick up often. My warm weather equivalent is bike shorts instead of leggings. You can do Chelsea boots or sneakers with a t-shirt for a more casual look or a heeled boot and a bodysuit to dress it up a bit like I did in this post. I have also done a mock neck turtleneck with tall boots like the last example. The options are really endless here!!
2. Straight Leg Jeans
If you want to break away from leggings, try straight leg jeans! I have three examples below that I have worn. Again, you can do a sweater, a t-shirt, or really anything underneath just depending on the vibe you want the outfit to have. I have done boots and sneakers as well.
3. Pair with Full Length Jeans/Pants
Something I probably would not have tried until this season is pairing my shacket with full length jeans. This season you are seeing more flare leggings, flare jeans, and full length wide leg jeans and pants. Unlike in seasons past, you won’t necessarily see only streamlined slim silhouettes on top. Don’t be afraid to try a shacket on top. The only advice I would give is to keep your layer underneath fitted and tucked in so that you can still see your visual waist.
