I have a huge Target try on for you today full of affordable fall work outfit ideas! These are all business casual outfits designed for the more casual office. They would also make great teacher outfit ideas since I styled them all with comfy flats! When I was still working as an Admissions Officer here at our local university, this is the type of outfit I wore every day. I won’t lie, I kind of miss it! I loved getting dressed in a cute work outfit. 🙂
Business Casual Fall Work Outfit Ideas
The first outfit below is the one I brought home with me from my Target try on featured in my recent Instagram reel. Check it out if you want to see these looks in action! Everything is true to size except for this one. I am most typically a size XS/2. In some brands/sizes I need a 4/small. I needed the 4 in these pants. I’m actually wearing a medium in this mock neck tank top. I think it is designed to have a fitted, cropped feel. Since I am tall and wearing it for a work look, I opted to size up.
Olive Joggers – $28
These olive joggers are sooo cute and just $28. They are true to size and easy to pair with so much: blouses like the white one below, sweaters like the cute retro vibe of the one below, and layer add layers like a denim jacket or cardigan.
Sweater & Cream Pants
I loved these cream pants! They are really modern and chic. I paired them with this pretty, modern polo sweater. Sweaters like this are really trending for fall, and a short sleeve version is a great way to have a fall feel before the temps actually cooperate.
Flare Pants
Another thing that is really trending is flare pants! These actually happen to be a lower rise pair which I am not a huge fan of, but when I put them on I was surprised to like them. I love a casual navy chino like this for work too. I believe I did size up one on these. The color of this sweater was so pretty with the navy in my opinion.
Midi Dress – $30
You could wear this midi dress so much! Alone, with a jean jacket, blazer, add tights, boots, etc! So versatile. True to size and definitely one to snag in my opinion.
Pull On Pants
I have seen these pants gaining popularity on Instagram! They are a pull on version available in several colors. At my height, they are actually a bit lower rise than I prefer. Isn’t it tricky how “high rise” and mid rise” can vary on different people depending on our different bodies and heights? I actually think a high rise is most flattering on a body, but depending on your height, that actually might mean purchasing a jean labeled mid rise. On a person 5’3, that comes up so much higher than it would on me at 5’10.
I digress! The pants are a good one. I love them paired with a cute flutter sleeve blouse.
Blue Pants
Last but not least in my fall work outfit ideas post are these fun blue pants! I love the color and fun kick flare detail. For some reason I cannot find this gingham blouse online, but my store had a ton of them which leads me to believe it is a new item.

So many great looks but my favorite is the first outfit! All are so perfect for this time of the year!
Target has really stepped up their work wear game – I really like those pull on pants. So much cuteness!
