Lele Sadoughi Headband Review – Are They Worth It?

August 1, 2022

You may or may not remember me sharing a post about the best Amazon embellished headband here. Within that post, I opened up about my postpartum hair loss and hair insecurity. I had taken to Instagram for your help on comfortable headband recommendations which lead me to the Amazon headband and to Lele Sadoughi, a designer headband I had never previously come into contact with. Well, one birthday splurge later and I was hooked. Here I am today to share a Lele Sadoughi headband review. What is all the hype about and are they worth it??

Lele Sadoughi Headband Review

First of all, what makes Lele Sadoughi headbands to special? Here’s the deal for me:

  1. First and foremost, it is comfort. I have migraines and wearing headbands makes them worse. These are the only ones I have found that I can truly wear all day long. The Amazon one I shared is close comfort wise and a major win for the price!
  2. Second, I have not seen anything close design wise. The fabrics are outstanding. The embellishments are individually stitched on so they will not come off.
  3. Third, I love the wide, large knot. I haven’t found anything quite as large/puffy, and I just love the look.

Are They Worth It?

So now you know why I like them. Let’s get down to it – are they worth it?? The first headband I bought was purchased with money given to me for my birthday. It is a gorgeous pink tweed that literally goes with everything. Below are a few of the times it has made the blog since March, so imagine how many times I have worn it in real life. I no longer wear any of my other headbands except for the Amazon one. I can say without a doubt that this $75 birthday purchase was worth it. Now I wear my hair up with way more confidence, and I honestly feel like wearing these headbands has kind of become my signature look now. I worry less about dirty hair days and now have fun with them!

Four months in, I decided to make a huge splurge and purchase two more headbands. One was on sale already and then on sale on top of that (a major steal for the brand). The other was the turquoise one featured in today’s post. I had recently had my colors done and knew this was one of my WOW colors. I really wanted an accessory I would wear a lot in my colors. The embellished headbands are significantly more than the non-embellished. I never in my life thought I would purchase them and honestly feel a little embarrassed that I did. Though I did find it on sale through a department store, yay! I have already worn it 20+ times and truly love it though! Time will tell if I feel like this more expensive purchase was worth it. I will say, the pearl one is not as comfortable as the other two which is strange.

How to Shop Lele Sadoughi Headbands

I recommend signing up for her emails as you will get a discount code to use. Additionally she often runs sales as I mentioned which you’ll get emails about. Also, before buying, search the headband you want. You might find it on sale like I did with my turqupise one. Saks, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Shopbop all carry the brand. Between the actual website and those sites, you’ll probably find it!

Since having my colors done and learning this light yellow is one of my WOW colors, I have been ALL about it! I saw this top at Shopbop and used the last bit of credit I had to purchase it. It did not disappoint! It’s seriously one of my favorite things I own now! True to size and super flattering with the shape. I shared it on a fun Instagram reel here.
