How to Wear a Bra Under a Backless Dress – How to Tie Your Backless Dress Over Your Bra

Wondering how to wear a bra under a backless dress or how to tie your backless dress over your bra? Is it possible?? YES!! I recently shared my favorite style hack ever on an Instagram reel, and you all went crazy over it! I just learned it earlier this year myself, and my mind was blown! Dresses that I had always just deemed as off limits, I could finally purchase! So if you want to try it out, read on!

How to Tie Your Backless Dress Over Your Bra

Let’s get to the step by steps of the process of tying your dress over your bra so that it does not show. I’m going to do my best to explain this, but watching it visually is super helpful! You can check out my reel here where I show you in real time.

1. Take the first side of your tie and pull it over your bra. Tuck it under at the halfway point of the buckle keeping it nice and flat and pull it down. See photo #1 below.
2. Take the second side and tuck it under both your bra and the other side of the tie at the middle of your bra on the bottom. Pull it up. Tip 1 – It helped me to hold the tie with one hand at the middle of my bra while I tucked with the other as seen in the video. Tip 2 – Get both sides to meet in the middle one on top of the other to cover your whole bra. See photo #2 below.
3. Pull both sides of the tie to the middle and tie a knot. Tip: it helps to pull one side straight up and one side straight down to get everything right in the middle to hide your bra.
4. Tie your bow!

The best trick I can tell you is to make sure your fabric is smooth and comes all the way to the middle before you tie your bow. I also enlisted the help of Russ so he could see what I was doing.
