A few details on my chambray dress. It’s an adorable $20 Walmart find!! I love the button front with the tie detail. Makes it super flattering and versatile to layer over or under. The dress has a curved hem and features pockets! I am wearing an XS here which is my usual size these days.
6 Ways to Wear a Chambray Dress
1. Layer Under + Tights
First up in my 6 ways to wear a chambray dress are a couple of outfit ideas for cooler weather. Of course I am not showing any outerwear I would also layer over these looks for a true winter day. I loved adding a fitted long sleeve shirt underneath for some added warmth. I went with stripes, but you could really do any solid color. Black and white stripes made it easy for me to add my flat black boots and black tights for a streamlined look.
2. Layer Over + Tights
Keeping the same bottom half, I just added a sweater over this time. This was a little trickier since there is a tie underneath, but I did end up liking the look and did not feel like it was too bulky.
3. Cardigan + Tall Boots
Adding a cute tan cardigan and taller brown boots makes for an easy and put together winter combo. My cardigan is an Amazon find I really love. Super versatile! These exact boots are really old.
4. Jacket + Short Boots
Transitioning to a more spring look, a light utility jacket (similar) and a short boot are the perfect combo! Really any layer you have would work here. I like the addition of a jacket in any color other than regular denim.
5. Kimonno + Sandals
A breezy kimono makes for the perfect light layer as the days get hotter! You can just pair it with your favorite sandal of choice. 6. Wear Alone with Sneakers or Sandals
Last but not least in my 6 ways to wear a chambray dress is to simply wear the dress alone with sneakers or sandals (heeled or flat)! It’s super cute solo and makes for a great outfit alone.
