Jane Evelyn’s One Year Birthday Party – Baby Girl Balloon Themed Party

August 11, 2021

Jane Evelyn turned one on Friday, and we had so much fun celebrating with a party this past weekend! We kept it just family, and I tried my best to keep it simple. Simple isn’t my strong suit to be honest. πŸ˜‰ I love my girls so much, and it is pretty special to celebrate them. We are so grateful for everyone who came to celebrate with us and the vendors who made it fun and easy. We had an afternoon party with mostly adults, and I am not huge on overly themed things so I left it at a baby girl balloon themed party. I found an invitation I liked on Etsy and took it from there.

Baby Girl Ballon Themed Party

I was browsing Etsy for invitations I liked and came across this one with the watercolor florals and balloon, and I just loved it. The party took off from there! I also ordered the high chair sign, welcome sign, and milestone sign. It was so easy!

Baby Girl Balloon Themed Party Cookies and Cake

I ordered a cake to go with the baby girl balloon themed party invitations from Wonderfully Homemade. They did my baby shower cake, and it was AMAZING! Unfortunately they are not doing cakes very often anymore but graciously agreed to make a cake for us. I was so glad and it turned out beautifully! OK Cookiemomster did the cookies for me as usual. They are just too good to beat! I did some Pinterest searching for boho baby girl cookies, and I love how these turned out. I asked for a balloon cookie, a “one of a kind cookie,” a cookie in the shape of a number one, and one with her name on it. They nailed it!

Homemade Charcuterie Table

I have been loving all the charcuterie tables lately, so when I knew we would have mostly adults I thought it would be fun to try one myself! I purchased 5 cheeses from Sam’s and Reasor’s here locally, olives, crackers, a baguette, a charcuterie meat sampler pack, grapes, dried apricots, strawberries, blueberries, and nuts. To start, I laid parchment paper down on the table and got to work! This made it both easy and affordable as I didn’t need any fancy or large cutting boards. Overall it was really fun, and I am so pleased with how it turned out! It was much less expensive than hiring someone to do it, and it looked really pretty. I watched this video for some tips which I found really helpful. I am happy to share more about how I did if you are interested.

Balloon Garland & Bounce House

I know I said I was trying to keep it simple, but Tulsa White Bounce house generously offered to lend us their bounce house for the party. Who can turn that down?! It’s amazing y’all and adds so much fun to any party!! Ivy Jean, her cousins, and our 3 kiddo friends who are like family had the time of their lives bouncing during the party. My one splurge beyond the cake and cookies was a balloon garland from Balloon Therapy Tulsa. They are super professional and easy to work with!
