Are you looking to add some fun to your work wardrobe with a versatile and affordable piece? Then this post is for you! I’m sharing 6 ways to wear colored work pants. I first shared these amazing $30 amazon paperbag waist work pants that come in over 25 colors with a white blazer on the blog here. They have been a hit with you all! Then I shared a reel with more ways to style them over on my Instagram. I love being able to see the video too! Today I wanted to share those same styling options in blog format so I could provide a little more detail and links.
I am linking everything in the widget below! Everything is current and available as of the time this is published.
1. Style Colored Work Pants with a Coordinating Print
If you are wondering how to wear colored pants, try picking a print that has the color of your pant in it. If you are wearing a pink pant like I am, a floral with pink in it is a great idea. It doesn’t have to be exact, but make sure the color of your pant goes with the print. My blouse is super affordable at just $28!

2. Pair Your Colored Pants with a Solid
This is always an easy option! Go for a solid color with your brighter pants. White always works whether it is a blouse or a dressed up t-shirt like my option shown below.

3. Style with Leopard
Leopard is practically a neutral, so it is a pretty safe bet with you have a colored bottom. I especially love how it pairs with my salmon pink pants. Notice how I kept my shoes neutral here so there wasn’t too much going on.

4. Stripes Are Always a Good Idea!
When it comes to how to style a colored pant, stripes are always a good idea! I love layering a jean jacket over a striped t-shirt for an early fall look. I paired my look for sneakers for a more casual vibe. This would be the perfect teacher outfit!

5. Layer a Cardigan
A longer cardigan is the perfect layer over a work pant. You can do a stripe underneath, a solid t-shirt, a button up, or even an easy tank top. I picked mules in the same color for my shoe, but you can really do anything!

6. Add a Blazer
Last but not least in my 6 ways to wear colored work pants is to add a blazer. I love a white blazer for spring and summer, but a tan or black blazer would work just as well for the cooler months. In this look I wore open toed sandals, but you could do pumps or even mules depending on your comfort level..

I bought a pair of forest green paperbag pants last fall and pairing them with a simple striped top and a tan blazer makes me feel so put together for the office without trying too hard. Lately, I’ve been trying to find a high-quality leopard print blouse to pair with them, exactly like your third styling tip suggests. I ordered one online last week but there was an issue with my payment going through. I ended up spending my lunch break searching for a midnight velvet customer service phone number to see if I could sort out the order. Hopefully, it arrives soon because leopard really is the ultimate unexpected neutral.
My favorite is with the striped shirt and jean jacket, but they’re all great!
You sure knock it out of the park. I’m new to the blog world — and I don’t do fashion — and I’m learning a lot from you just by observation.
