I’m beyond excited to reveal our transitional living room update with Luxe Furniture & Design Tulsa. If you’ve been following along, we have been working with Luxe since the beginning of 2021 to update our dining room, living room, and master bedroom. I shared our transitional eclectic dining room reveal here, and we could not be happier! We’ve been living in that space for two months now, and it suits our family perfectly. What I have loved about working with Luxe is that they really listed to our wants and needs and blended the two seamlessly within our budget. They also what molded what we wanted to keep with the new items we purchased into one cohesive design.
Transitional Living Room Update
Overall, our living room is considered a transitional eclectic style. My favorite part is that the room looks so much bigger thanks to the Luxe Furniture & Design team. I had no idea that we had the wrong size rug in the room. Did you know adding a bigger rug actually makes the whole room look larger?? We put in a bigger rug, a bigger sectional, AND added a chair. Despite adding more, something I would have never done on my own, the whole room feels lighter and more roomy. Plus, we gained seating.
Custom Sectional & Pillows
We were able to pick this custom sectional down to the color, tufting, feet, and finishing. I love how it turned out, and the performance fabric will be so crucial for our family!! Having a family friendly living room is really important to us as this is where we spend the majority of our time. Little Design Co. was kind enough to gift us with these amazing pillows that Luxe designed for the space. I LOVE them! They have so many incredible fabrics, and their pillows are truly the best quality I have ever come across. It’s a local Tulsa shop, and it’s so special to have them in our home.
Modern Recliner & End Tables
While we already had the brown leather chairs you see pictured, we added this modern cream fabric recliner. I love the style and function! I have always wanted a recliner for the comfort, but they are not always the prettiest chairs. This one checks all the boxes! I also really love the end tables that go by the sectional. I’ve never had a room so well designed in my home!
Custom Ottoman
I really wanted a coffee table or ottoman that was kid friendly. Luxe found the perfect thing! I love how this round faux leather ottoman actually provides more space with the shape. Plus, it is soft for Jane Evelyn to pull up on and wipes off with spills/finger prints/etc. It’s the ideal combination for us. I actually was able to pick out the finish in our design consult with Luxe in our initial meeting at their showroom. Luxe styled it for these photos, and I love how the books pull out the colors of our pillows and rug.
Drapes
Another thing our living room was missing was any type of window treatment. I was able to hand select this fabric from literally hundreds of options. I love the light, bright white. With the help of the designer, we picked these amazing acrylic rods capped in rubbed bronze to perfectly pair with our light fixture and overall design.
Before
Here’s a before photo of the room. You can tell we kept the dark leather chairs, gold lamp, piece under the TV, and light fixture. We did purchase a new frame TV too. Overall, my thoughts are that the whole room feels much larger and so much lighter with the new, lighter rug and ottoman. We have very dark hardwood floors. Though I did not realize it until we made the change, the previous rug and coffee table were really keeping things dark. I’m very grateful for the trained eye of the Luxe Furniture & Design.
