I haven’t shared an Instagram lately post in a while (last one here), and I love doing these occasionally for several reasons. One is I get to share outfits that never make full blog posts. The other is these photos are often family pictures that share a bit more of our life than my usual outfit snaps. I love staying connect with you all and sharing our family life. I get to do this on Instagram more often thanks to Instagram stories and DMs but sometimes miss it here on the blog.
Blogging Life
I recently joined my Tulsa blogging friends for an outside influencer closet sale, and it was so much fun!!! Britt organized us all, and we had the Gas Petal (cutest flower tuck EVER), the White Bounce House, and other fun vendors join us at the Collab. I wore these AMAZING pink jeans by Rolla’s with my WAYF top last seen here. Both are from Shopbop, and it ended up being one of my most favorite outfits worn recently.
This padded shoulder top by English Factory is so fun!! Be sure to size down. I love it tucked in with my distressed jeans for a casual vibe. The muscle tee is really in lately! Have you tried it?
Ivy Jean – Activities
This spring Ivy Jean started both ballet and soccer for the first time ever! There is a ballet studio that comes into her school one day a week after class, so she got to just stay after school and do ballet with friends. It was the easiest and sweetest activity! She LOVED it. She had her first recital just a couple weeks ago and danced and sang her heart out. It will forever be one of my favorite memories of her. She also played soccer with some girls from her class. Although the games weren’t her favorite thing ever, she played hard and still had fun!
Jane Evelyn – 9 Months
It’s truly hard to believe that our precious Jane Evelyn is already 9 months old! 9 months in vs 9 months out. 18 months of marveling over and loving this miracle girl who represents the the filament of such a journey with the Lord to create our family! Itβs flown by!! I will literally never forget how I felt the day we found out I was pregnant 16 months into the adoption process. We werenβt trying. Heck, we didnβt think pregnancy was possible. We were thrilled to be adopting but devastated it was taking so long.
God has taught me so much, increased my faith. He is never finished. Iβm beyond grateful to have spent my first Motherβs Day as a mom of TWO! Parenting alongside Russ is my greatest joy and the most fulfilling, challenging, important work of my life.
Family Life
Now that the weather is warmer, we have been taking a lot of family walks! This pink car that we bought for Ivy Jean has been the best investment! It’s Jane’s preferred method of transportation. Spanx was kind though to send me this skort and tank top from their new active line (exact linked below), and I have been loving it. It’s a great mom outfit for the summer. We have also been having a lot of dinners on patios, meeting friends for grill outs as weather allows, and getting together with my family who live about an hour away. After COVID, I don’t feel like I will ever take things like that for granted again! I feel so thankful to be fully vaccinated and have this spring look so different than last.
