July 1, 2020

As you have probably noticed, dresses have been my primary wardrobe lately. For a summer pregnancy they are honestly just the most comfortable and easy to wear. I’ve found quite a few dresses that are not maternity that work perfectly for my bump. Dresses lend themselves well to this! I thought today I would roundup the best non-maternity dress styles for pregnancy.

I've found quite a few dresses that are not maternity that work perfectly for my bump. Dresses lend themselves well to this! I thought today I would roundup the best non-maternity dress styles for pregnancy.

Babydoll Dresses

First up in my list of the best non-maternity dress style for pregnancy is a new outfit! This babydoll dress is seriously idea for pregnancy. Plus, it is only $25! I sized up one from my usual to a medium.

Babydoll dresses are one of the best non-maternity dress styles to try out during pregnancy.

Smocked Dresses

Smocked dresses have really been a go-to for me. The extra elastic and stretch in the material makes them super bump friendly! Everything I am sharing is linked below if it is still available. All but the blue one are non-maternity. The best part is I can often buy my pre-pregnancy size and wear them later too!

Swing Dresses

These jersey style swing dresses have honestly been my most worn items because they are casual and easy to throw on. They go as well with sneakers as they do sandals. I highly recommend them pregnant and not pregnant!

Ruched Dresses

Ruched dresses have been something I have worn a lot. They are super bump flattering, and if you are worried about coverage you can easily add a top layer as I have done. Read more on my post about how to style a ruched dress.

Fitted Dresses

These $18 Amazon fitted dresses are super popular among bloggers, and I can see why! They are thicker material so they don’t show every lump and bump. I don’t find my white to be see through, but I definitely recommend sizing up and picking another color if you are worried about it. See more ways I have styled it and links on my full blog post.

Flowy Dresses

ALL the flowy dresses ALL the time! Besides my swing dresses, these are what I have worn the most because they are just so comfy and easy to wear. So tell me, which of these best non-maternity dress styles for pregnancy is your favorite?!

Amy! You look absolutely beautiful in all of these dresses. They’re all so unique and special. I gasped upon seeing the purple gingham; how cute?! This is such a helpful post because it can certainly be challenging to shop for a bump. Having an idea of what styles are flattering makes things much less daunting.

Amy, I have always loved your style and I just love what you are able to do with these dresses. As someone who isn’t expecting, I would still love to wear any one of these dress styles! Congratulations to add to your family and have a wonderful day πŸ™‚

Amy I have NEVER been a dress person but you have converted me with this summer pregnancy ?. I have so far bought two you have linked! Two questions- what type of bra do you wear/is most comfortable with the Old Navy swing dress? My traditional bra obviously shows with the halter type profile. Also, where is the blue smocked dress from? I can’t find your link to that. Thanks!

Oh this makes me so happy to hear! Congrats on your pregnancy! So glad you have found a few you like that I have shared. I find them so much more comfy especially in the summer. I am wearing a strapless bra with the Old Navy one. Thankfully I found a comfy one that fits. For the blue smocked, it is sold out. πŸ™ I think you can sign up for restock notifications. Here is the exact link, https://bit.ly/2zGaRLv. I also found another really similar one. I want to order in another color! Here’s the link for it, https://bit.ly/3g93lrQ. Thanks so much for using my links!! Means more than you know. Have a great week!

Each and every one of these dresses looks so good on you! I especially love that lilac gingham dress. Dresses are my favorite in summer – they are so much cooler than even shorts in my opinion. Thanks for the link up!

Cute dresses! I found I could wear most of my non-maternity dresses in my pregnancies, I didn’t buy a lot of maternity clothes at all. There were one or two with zips or fitted waists that didn’t work but for the most part I could still fit into the normal ones even at the end πŸ™‚

    Thanks for the link up!
