How to Dress Up Leggings

Y’all I am obsessed with these Spanx faux leather leggings!! I LOVE my regular faux leather ones (see my post on how to style them here). When I saw they came out with a leopard pair, I knew I had to have them. I snagged them when they were on sale recently. Today I thought I would share some tips on how to dress up leggings. Pick the Right Leggings

Honestly, my first tip is to start with a faux leather pair of leggings. By default, these feel dressier than a regular pair of cotton leggings, slim your legs, and add some shine.

Add a Dressy Top and Boots or Heels

I prefer to add a longer tunic style sweater and boots when dressing up leggings. Today I am wearing this Free People black sweater. Personally, I feel ankle boots or over the knee boots are the more natural choice for leggings as opposed to heels. They still have a casual vibe but are not as casual as sneakers. You can do a heel though if you prefer. You can also do a blouse a longer blazer or a blouse and a long cardigan. Anything that covers your bum will look dressier.
