How fun is this fall dress outfit with over the knee boots? I love the long sleeves, bow detail, and waistline. It’s by Eliza J which is such a quality and well fitting line! I am consistently impressed by their things. I loved pairing it with my over the knee boots for an easy fall look. Personally, I love above the knee dresses with long sleeves for tall boots. You could just as easily do tights and an ankle bootie though.
Blog Photo/Life Update
For the past two weeks, I have met with a local photographer I love, Christina, to take some blog photos. She takes the photos. Then I come home and edit them the same way I always have which keeps things cohesive. If you have been following for a while, then you know Russ has always been my blog photographer for which I am so grateful. As his work travel schedule has gotten busier and Ivy Jean has gotten older, things have just gotten harder. We are often trying to fit in blog photos during a lunch break when Russ doesn’t really have time or on the weekend when Ivy Jean is cranky.
I wish I could say that I just take an iPhone snap in the moment every time and manage with that. However because my blog is such a large part of what I do including my income as opposed to just one Instagram shot, I prefer a full set of photos. I love having a blog and being able to share how-to posts, more of my life, etc. Due to the nature of our lives (hello toddler), unpredictable weather, light, schedules, etc. it is just not always possible to take a full set of blog photos on the way somewhere when I am dressed on the day I am wearing my outfit. I’m not always even with someone to take my photo when I am wearing said outfit!
I have just had to admit that to myself and adjust as life goes. In this season, working with Christina some, taking photos with Russ when it works, and taking some in the moment iPhone snaps (like this one), is working the best for us and eliminating some stress. It also works best with my personality. I prefer to have things planned out and organized. Ha! Anyway, just thought I would give you all a little update. I tend to write a little personal blurb in my weekly newsletter (subscribe on the right sidebar) and share a lot of personal content on my Instagram stories if you are interested in that type of thing. 🙂
