I’ve you’ve been following along, I’ve already shared some photos from our beach trip on Instagram as well as one look on my post about the best self tanner. Today I thought I would roundup the rest of my looks and share what to pack for a beach vacation.
Comfy Travel Outfit
I bought the most amazing joggers ever just in time to travel. I’ve been on the hunt for a great pair of joggers for some time, and I just happened on these in Old Navy. Seriously, I bought them in two colors, and I never do that! They are the dry fit, moisture wicking breathable material that doesn’t stretch out or pill, and they are SO soft. I bought pink and grey. I also snagged this adorable rainbow sweatshirt. So comfy for travel!
It’s not a beach vacation without a sundress! This exact one is from Shopbop, and they have an amazing selection you can shop here. I love them because they can easily be layered for chillier evenings and also double as a swim coverup when needed.
I already shared this look on Wednesday with my self tanner post, but you cannot go to the beach without a cute pair of shorts. I love this pair from Agolde. I’ve mentioned before that I am really not a huge shorts fan, but these fit well and have that certain cool factor. They have a 4 in inseam which can be hard to find. My other favorite brand to shop for shorts is Levi’s. They have multiple pairs with various inseam options (important when you are tall), and the price points are all $60-$70. At my height and age, I cannot often walk in just any store and find a pair of shorts I feel good wearing. I did actually notice Gap had some longer inseam options that it looked like I might like when I was in the mall the other day. Though I did not have a chance to try them on. I am notoriously picky about shorts…
One Dressy Dress
I always like packing one dressier dress for a nicer dinner out. When traveling with family, we often end up going out to at least one dinner where I have the opportunity to wear something fun that I wouldn’t otherwise get to wear. Vacations are your chance! Also, a note on these shoes, I have gotten multiple questions on them on Instagram. I love them and have been wearing them with everything lately! They are comfortable. The flatform sole isn’t super flexible as you can imagine, but I still find them comfortable. I wear them when I probably would have otherwise worn a heel to dress my outfit up a bit. In my opinion that makes them really comfy, ha! I’ve worn them to run errands, get coffee with Russ, out to dinner, etc. and loved them. I don’t wear them when I know I need to really walk and want serious support. Think of them like a flat without a ton of arch support. Hope that helps!
Casual Jeans & Top
No matter the weather, I usually like to pack one pair of jeans and a casual top. It’s often cold inside or you might have a day of rain. I love these cropped jeans for spring/summer. Paired with a sandal and short sleeved top like this one, this outfit still feels super casual and beach appropriate but warmer too. Both of these pieces are Madewell. You know it is my favorite! I often like to shop Madewell from Shopbop because of the free 2 day shipping if you have Amazon prime (just link your account).
Swimsuit and Coverup
Oh the dreaded swimsuit… Don’t we all hate shopping for them?? I found an Amazon prime scalloped two piece for $24 that I absolutely love! I love the high waisted bottoms. Since I am tall, a two piece with higher waisted bottoms often work better for me than a one piece. I also ordered this pink one that also has the cute high waisted bottoms. I will say, it is small in the chest, and I am small so take that for what it is worth. You can see them both on my Instagram feed here. I’d rather not put them on the blog. As for coverups, I personally love kimonos. They are long (read: covers everything) and make you look so chic! I have this one and this one both from Amazon with prime shipping. They double as cute dinner pieces with jeans and shorts and a top.
No pictured, but it goes without saying that you need comfies to lounge around the house/hotel in while there! I always pack t-shirts, athletic shorts, and yoga type pants. You want to be comfortable and relaxed on your vacation! After all, that is what it is for.
