If you have been following along on Instagram, you know that this week we had some work done in our kitchen. Today I am excited to share our kitchen backsplash update with Mill Creek Carpet & Tile in Tulsa. Mill Creek is a family owned business with multiple locations in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, so if you are in the area be sure to check them out!
About the Process
I was so thrilled when Mill Creek reached out to me about an update. Our house is a Spanish style home but the previous owners had put in a very modern glass style backslash. In my opinion, it did not go with the look or feel of our home. I was excited to go to Mill Creek to check out their tile. They have an amazing variety and selection of tile to choose from. I was able to meet with one of their interior designers on staff to talk about the look and feel I wanted. She pulled some options for me, and 30 minutes later I walked out with a tile I was confident we would love!
Installation
Mill Creek ordered and scheduled the tile installation around my schedule making it super easy for me. We don’t have a large area of backsplash, so it was a pretty low inconvenience job for us thankfully. The tile is two different sized shapes with a non-flat/smooth surface. In my opinion it has a Spanish shape and feel. I absolutely love how it turned out! This was our first weekend at home with it, so we got donuts to celebrate. A certain 2 year old was pretty thrilled! How adorable is she in these photos?!
Before – Glass Modern Tile
You can see a before photo below. Russ and I just keep saying over and how we cannot believe what a big difference it has made. Overall our kitchen is so much lighter and brighter now. Thank you to Mill Creek for making this possible!

Yay for doughnuts and yay for a gorgeous new backsplash! I love how it turned out and it definitely sounds like it is more in the same feel as the rest of the house!
Aww how cute is Ivy Jean with the donuts–she looks pretty happy and I don’t blame her one bit π The backsplash you chose is gorgeous! I love how clean and bright your kitchen looks.
That is such a unique backsplash! We just redid our kitchen this year so I love seeing what other people have done with theirs! Yours is gorgeous!
