The Best Time to Buy Nice Coats – Everything on Sale

February 11, 2019

You know what is funny, every day I have taken Ivy Jean into school this fall or winter without fail I see at least one mom if not multiple in a black puffer coat almost exactly like this one. It is like the universal mom staple. What is even funnier is that I did not have one until this year! I was missing out because I am seriously obsessed and wear it all the time. This season I got rid of quite a few coats that were either too big or about 10 years old. I purchased this one and the ever popular J.Crew coat both on major sale. Right now, at the tail end of the winter season, is the best time to buy nice coats because they are all on sale.

The Best Time to Buy Nice Coats – Everything on Sale

I bought this black knee length puffer coat and my grey J.Crew coat both for right around $100. They are both amazing quality and great brands. Between the two of them, there isn’t an outfit that I don’t have a coat to pair with. The black one is more casual and goes with any of my casual or mom off duty looks. The grey is a bit dressier and will go with jeans or a dress. Since it is grey, it will go with either black or brown. I recommend adding it to your cart and watching for an email that their sale is an extra percentage off. That is what I did. Warning though: sizes go FAST!I won’t lie, I want it in a classic camel to though…

Below I am rounding up all kinds of coats on sale. It seriously is the best time to buy if you need anything. I recommend checking around as most come in multiple colors. If your size is sold out, it might be available in another option or a similar one that I didn’t link. These are all good brands that will last for years. The coats I just got rid of were almost 10 years old. When you buy a nice brand, they last. I know there are other brands that are less out there but they don’t always last. A classic coat is a timeless piece that is a great investment.

Koolaburra by UGG – only $69 instead of $160-$200

A note on my shoes, these are Koolaburra by UGG sold at Kohls, and I could not recommend them more! I got them for Christmas, and have worn them a TON! They are great quality and look just like the real, full UGG line but for only $69.99. They come in several colors and versions too as well as a women and girls option. They sold out at first and have restocked.

EVERYONE around here wears a black puffer coat! It’s crazy how popular they are! This is definitely a great time of year to get a winter coat or boots or booties! I have found some great deals in previous years!

I always try to buy coats in the early Fall, but that is when EVERYONE is buying them. I do agree you can save SO much more buying one now. This works out especially nice if there is a coat you’ve had your eye on (a particular style), but it is more pricey. I love that coat you’re wearing, it looks so warm! I so need a coat with a hood!

Yes, this is definitely the perfect time to buy winter coats…and boots!! I’m trying not to shop for a few months but the sales are pretty tempting right now. Your puffer looks so cozy!

I definitely agree that this is the perfect time to buy winter coats. All the winter stuff are on major sales (even though it is still full-on winter weather haha). Love your coat and I need to try Koolaburra!

We’re far from being done wearing heavy coats here in the Midwest, so I’m always keeping an eye out on sales for a new one to add to my closet. I love the one you’re wearing – such a classic staple for every season!

I have to agree with you on the puffer coat being a mom staple. I see them everywhere even here in San Diego! (We have a low tolerance for “cold”). I just got a camel coat this year and I love it, so I think you’d be justified in getting the camel coat. Just saying. πŸ™‚

What a steal! I don’t have a puffer, mainly because San Antonio rarely gets cold enough for one haha. But I love the style!
