Rainbow Trend

May 18, 2018

The rainbow trend seems everywhere lately, and I can’t say I am sad about it. So many fun pieces out there! I wore this look for a fun dinner date with Russ. We had Mexican (as always), and this seemed fitting. We are part of a small church plant, and our parent church where we went for years hosts a monthly kids night out where they provide childcare for free. Isn’t it neat that they call it kids night out to put the emphasis on the kids having fun? It’s such a neat ministry for people like us without parents who live in town (my parents are close by). Babysitters are expensive! Plus, it provides such a safe place to let Ivy jean have fun.

Back to the outfit, I was excited to have somewhere to wear this off the shoulder top as it isn’t exactly practical to wear with a toddler. It is so fun though, and I love it with my cropped flares (linking my exact below in this years version). It would be equally cute with a jean skirt or other skirt. The same brand makes a really similar dress version. These are the same slides I wore in my recent post here. I love them, but the red part isn’t super flexible and I am still breaking them in some. I cannot believe how much wear I have gotten out of these $13 earrings. Are you getting tired of seeing them yet? They are so light!

This sounds like such a sweet evening, and that kids night out idea is honestly amazing. I love how the outfit matches the fun vibe too, rainbow pieces just make everything feel more cheerful. I wore something similar for a casual dinner recently and felt instantly more put together. Earlier that day I was reading taptap send reviews while waiting for a transfer, and it’s funny how a good outfit can turn an ordinary day around completely.
