This is without a doubt the most flattering outfit I’ve worn, and no, it is not just because it is all black though I am sure that helps. It is these sock booties (under $100)! I have been wanting a pair for a while now, so when I got a gift card for Christmas I knew this is what I was spending it on. I wish I had bought them so much sooner! I swear they create the most slimming leg line. I tried them on with regular colored skinny jeans, a skirt, and also looser, boyfriend style jeans. They are equally great with everything. The fitted ankle and sock style are just so much more slimming than other boots. When worn with a boyfriend pair, they tuck in (underneath) the jeans and just look so cool.
I especially loved how they paired with my black jeans because there is no differentiation between the jean and the boot. I’ve said this before, but these jeans are easily my favorite I’ve ever owned. They are stretchy yet fitted at the same time (read: comfortable AND slimming), and the ankle isn’t too wide (something I despise in a skinny jean). They are a splurge jean for sure, but amazing quality. I topped my jeans with an old black sweater (very similar) and my trusty favorite tan coat (similar – and on sale!) for a cool all black easy look. When in doubt, wear all black right?!
