I love a good work look. What I love even more is a work look with personality. This dress is business in the front, party in the back. When I got it from Banana Republic, I won’t lie, I was at a little bit of a loss as to how to style it. The front of the dress seemed more formal to me, and I love the open cross back but it obviously wasn’t fit for work worn alone. When faced with this dilemma, the option is simple: layer! Either add a blazer on top or a blouse underneath. I opted to add my favorite blouses underneath it for a work chic look. You could easily wear it alone for drinks maximizing the versatility. The material is a stretchy point fabric. It’s currently on sale, so snag it now!
You can see how I previously styled this blouse (only $18) for work with pants here. My bag is also a favorite and is also on sale. It’s been on the blog more times than I can even count! I love the structure.

You look so elegant in this dress. I honestly wouldn’t have guessed that you’d layered a dress over your top – they go together seamlessly!

Very chic and sophisticated look! If I didn’t read the title, I wouldn’t know that there’s a blouse under a dress. They look so good together 🙂
