Why You Need a Ruched Dress

April 14, 2017

Why you need a ruched dress you ask? Let me tell you – they are so flattering! I have worn this exact same dress previously here with a striped blazer and here with a poncho while pregnant. If wearing one dress while pregnant and not pregnant and feeling great in it both ways isn’t proof that it’s the ultimate dress, I don’t know what is. My exact dress is still available here, and it also comes in a sleeveless version here. Both versions come in grey and other colors. Thinking I might need one of the other colors in the sleeveless version for summer. I bought a medium to accommodate my bump (usually wear a small), and I still like that size now as I don’t typically wear super fitted pieces.

A ruched dress like this makes a great base for any outfit. Today I styled it with my favorite jean jacket, wedges (seen on Wednesday), statement necklace, and tote. I cannot believe how much I have worn this tote! The color just goes with everything and it doubles as a diaper bag when I need it. It’s on sale right now.

Huge thanks to Janelle of Janelle Azevendo Photography for these photos! I was so excited when she reached out to me to work together for a shoot. She is a local Tulsa photographer with a lot of talent. Be sure to look her up if you are in the area.
