Neutral Nursery Reveal

December 30, 2016

I am so excited to share our neutral nursery reveal! Russ and I worked on this space over the span of my whole pregnancy, and it has really become one of our favorite places in the house. Since we didn’t find out the gender of our sweet Ivy Jean, we wanted to keep things neutral. We went with mainly greys, whites, and creams. It was so fun to put it together and dream of our life with baby. I added a few pink touches when Ivy arrived.

We started with our crib, dresser, and rocker and worked from there. My mom found the sweet animal heads and mobile, and it sort of took off from there. One of my good friends is a talented artist. She made us the print with my favorite verse. I also asked her if she could make me a bunny canvas, showed her my inspiration photo, and she took it from there. Didn’t it turn out so well?! The little desk was actually Russ’s from childhood. His parents were kind enough to give it to us, and he painted it. I linked everything I could below.

Also, I have to thank Tiny Prints for the perfect birth announcements. They have such a great selection, and it is so easy to order. You might remember me mentioning I ordered our Christmas cards in advance trying to be prepared, so when Ivy surprised us by coming early the cards that had a photo of me pregnant and said “Love Russ, Amy Ann, and Baby Arnold” didn’t quite work. All I could do was laugh. I was able to order these adorable cards and send them with our Christmas cards. Whew.

This is so, so cute! I love these colors and I’ve really been into neutrals for my home lately. I never thought that they’d be so perfect for a gender neutral baby, much better then tons of greens and yellows in my opinion! I really love the animal faces above the nursery! I also love that rug, I’ve been wanting to get one that is similar for our family room!

I never thought about keeping a baby’s room neutral, but it’s so perfect!
I really loved how you used Russ’ dresser. I have mine from when I was a kid, and I’ve painted it too! They were made so well back then that they last forever!

Beautiful space! I love the neutrals. Sometimes baby clothing can be so “gender specific” that it’s nice to have a space that falls into more of a neutral category. I really like the crib and dresser you chose. The bunny art is adorable, and the desk adds a fun personal touch. Wonderful space to raise your sweet Ivy Jean.
