Casual Outfit Idea + Little Life Update

December 19, 2016

Happy Monday everyone! How are you all? This is an easy casual outfit idea which fits perfectly with life lately. A great pair of distressed jeans, a striped tee, blush cardi (I’m obsessed), and my current favorite booties (on sale!) made me feel put together without trying. A hat hid my extra dirty hair. Just keeping it real here.

I thought I’d share a little life update. I haven’t gotten to do that much since we brought sweet Ivy home. It’s almost stupid how much I love her. She is seriously the best ever. Even on hard days that follow sleepless nights, I cannot help but remember thankful I am to be her mom. I shared this on Instagram, but her name means faithfulness and that is exactly what we see in God through this journey to parenthood. It’s hard to believe I am typing this, but our sweet girl is now over a month old. Whoa. Where did time go?!

Since Ivy is a premie, we were encouraged to stay in the house and even limit visitors to our house through the end of flu and RSV season. I think this is probably important for all babies born this time of year but especially when they are extra little. All that to say, we’ve been getting lots of snuggle time at home which is totally fine with me! It does mean I haven’t been getting out much and probably won’t be any time soon. All that to say, I try to keep outfits on the blog ones I have really worn. This is something I wore one of the handful of times I have gotten out of the house when Ivy and I both had a doctor appointment.

I love what you are wearing. When my daughter was so small, I was so “out” that I was not able to write a sentence. I admire that you can write such a long article and still look so beautiful on the photos. Big hugs and lots if kisses to Ivy!

So glad to hear she is doing well! Going through infertility and loss really gives you a completely new appreciation for parenthood. Even though you go through hell and back I would never take that gratitude away. I am so grateful for my daughter and thankful God chose me to be her mom!

Truer words could not be spoken! I hope to always hold on to that gratitude. Think of you often.

I can’t believe it’s been a month since you’ve had Ivy, she’s absolutely beautiful. Enjoy the extra snuggle time 🙂 Before you know it she’ll be crawling and running around. You look fantastic and chic as always. Distressed jeans always make any outfit feel edgy and cool!
Hope you guys have a great week!
