Happy Monday everyone! How are you all? This is an easy casual outfit idea which fits perfectly with life lately. A great pair of distressed jeans, a striped tee, blush cardi (I’m obsessed), and my current favorite booties (on sale!) made me feel put together without trying. A hat hid my extra dirty hair. Just keeping it real here.
I thought I’d share a little life update. I haven’t gotten to do that much since we brought sweet Ivy home. It’s almost stupid how much I love her. She is seriously the best ever. Even on hard days that follow sleepless nights, I cannot help but remember thankful I am to be her mom. I shared this on Instagram, but her name means faithfulness and that is exactly what we see in God through this journey to parenthood. It’s hard to believe I am typing this, but our sweet girl is now over a month old. Whoa. Where did time go?!
Since Ivy is a premie, we were encouraged to stay in the house and even limit visitors to our house through the end of flu and RSV season. I think this is probably important for all babies born this time of year but especially when they are extra little. All that to say, we’ve been getting lots of snuggle time at home which is totally fine with me! It does mean I haven’t been getting out much and probably won’t be any time soon. All that to say, I try to keep outfits on the blog ones I have really worn. This is something I wore one of the handful of times I have gotten out of the house when Ivy and I both had a doctor appointment.

Thanks for this life update and keep them coming. I think even though she is a preemie, she will get to be in normal-sized clothes soon. And I must say Motherhood and Easy Mom Style agrees with you. When Vivian was two weeks old and I had to take her to her first doctor’s appointment, I actually wore a similar layered outfit with leggings (keeping it real, you know). And I know you love Ivy to pieces but trust me you will grow to love her more each year. I love Vivian more and more each day and each year. Little girls are so adorable, especially when their personalities comes out.
OK That was a novel lol. Wishing you, Russ and Ivy a Very Happy New Year 2017!
Happy to hear that your are loving motherhood! And I feel like getting any outfit photos done at all with a newborn has to be a huge feat, so I’m impressed! And I always opt for hats to hide my dirty hair. the most fashionable, lazy thing to do!

It’s nice to enjoy some indoor quality time sometimes. You’re so blessed to have her in your life. I’m sure I will feel and be the same way when I have my babies in the future. Hearing you speak about her is so sweet 🙂

Wow, time is certainly going so fast, I can’t believe she’s a month old either; God bless her! This is such a cute and stylish outfit, I’m sure you were the most stylish mama at that doctor’s office, haha! Burgundy and blush are one of my favorite color combinations to pair throughout fall and winter and I love how you’ve tied them together in this look! Thanks so much for sharing, beauty, and I hope you’re having a great week so far!
