I have been on the hunt for a sweater dress I could squeeze this bump of mine into. I am 34 weeks today. Can you believe it?! I hardly can to be honest. Anyway, back to the dress. I fell in love this this blush beauty from PinkBlush. Here’s an almost exact non-maternity option for you all too. Today I wanted to talk about how to style a sweater dress for fall. They are the perfect weight for this time of year.
Dresses are really my go-to item at any time of the year. That doesn’t change in the cooler months, so I love adding boots and a layer. In early fall, adding ankle boots is a great way to start transitioning your dresses. As it gets cooler, over the knee boots are the perfect option. Alternatively, I will wear tights and my ankle boots. The idea is to use the same base (your dress) and add layers as it cools off. For now, a light jacket or vest is perfect. In winter, you might need a vest and an long coat. It really makes your wardrobe stretch and the outfits all look totally different.
I wore this for a fun dinner date with Russ on Friday night. We were also gifted last minute Billy Joel tickets. He puts on a great show!

Wow Amy! This sweater dress is really gorgeous and you perfectly carry this outfit. I guess its’s the ongoing fashion trend. But if you’re looking for something more, here are some options of rag and bone sweater dresses which is even trending this year.
This sweater dress is gorgeous on you, Amy! I love the gorgoeus rich tans you paired the lighter shades with.
I’m still on the hunt for a sweater dress, but you look great in the one you found! 🙂
