Fall 2016 Trends to Try: Renaissance

August 5, 2016

I was browsing some of the fall 2016 trends to try and fell in love with one in particular, Renaissance. I love the romance of it while it still feels edgy somehow. It combines several of the other hot trends. Think ruffles, high necks, exaggerated sleeves, and velvet.Β In my opinion, one of the best ways to try a trend is in a shoe. It’s less of a commitment than a whole outfit or piece and gives you lots of ways to style. Maybe a velvet buckle shoe or boot in this instance. If you’re looking to browse other fall 2016 trends to try besides what I linked above, Elle, Vogue, and Style Caster have some great recaps.

For today’s post, I am styling a high neck blouse from Zaful. I loved the wrist and neck ruffle detail. It feels very Renaissance. I have had a great experience with Zaful both times I have tried their clothing (see my floral dress here). The packages arrived in good condition and the quality is what you can expect for the low price. Although I originally planned to wear this top with a midi skirt, I loved the 70s vibes of my flare jeans, bag, and hat. I’m linking some great pieces below in case you are interested. What do you think? Will you try any of these trends?

Oh yes! Blouses like this one are SO me and something I cling on to no matter which year or season it is. White blouses will never go out of style and will always be a “must have” in girls’ closets.
You’re looking beautiful and so stylish in this casual, 70’s inspired outfit!
