Floral and Stripes

June 20, 2016

Floral and stripes has always been one of my favorite ways to mix prints. As long as there is a similar color in both, in this case navy, it’s a no fail combination. I thought it was fun to mix things up a little by pairing this off the shoulder top, a trendier piece, with a classic floral midi skirt. Add in my pink bag and shoes, and you have a complete look. I have been surprised at how much wear I have gotten out of my pink accessories.

I hope you all had a good weekend! We had some friends over for dinner on Friday which combines two things I love: cooking and getting to know people around the table. I made truffle oil cheese pizza and BBQ chicken pizza using the Pioneer Woman’s homemade pizza crust. Have you ever tried it? So good! With a salad, double dark shortbread cookies, and homemade ice cream (my husband’s favorite), we had a feast. Do you like to cook? I am always pinning new things to try and just looking for an excuse (follow me here). Saturday I got to spend the day with my family for Father’s Day, and it was so nice to be together. All in all, a great weekend.

Gorgeous combination! I love florals and stripes too! I also love to cook but it is so hard to organize a feast and invite everyone because of our busy schedules. But we must make time soon and I might try that truffle oil pizza. It already tastes great in my head. 🙂
