Red Statement Pants

April 25, 2016

I love wide leg pants and the style nod to the 70s they provide. I’ve been on the lookout for a red pair since I love my striped version so much. Statement pants are so fun. The great thing is they are totally work appropriate but also fun for brunch, events, and more. I love this pair from Ann Taylor (also available in cream). The lightweight fabric makes them great for those fickle spring days. I’ve also been on the hunt for the perfect striped blouse for some time. For stripes to be such a popular print, I find it funny how difficult it can be to find the right kind. I personally like a thin, vertical stripe. This navy and cream version is my ideal. Not to mention the ruffle neck detail. I wore this exact outfit to church on Sunday and then to work again on Monday. No Shame! I felt all American in this combo.

Why wear regular pants when you can make a statement? These red wide leg pants from Ann Taylor are classic and functional, especially with a striped blouse. Why wear regular pants when you can make a statement? Those pants are so fun!! You do look all American in this look, I feel like you’re channeling a super glam old Hollywood actress with that silhouette. I’d repeat this look too!

And just to be clear–I’m talking Hollywood being old, not the actress 🙂 ha!

You pull off 70’s looks so well! I love these wide legged trousers on you and they don’t swallow you up at all! The b/w stripes look very classy with them and even out the bright color. Love!
